Time flies and caught me nearly unawares, but nevertheless, here it is, the National Preparedness Month for the United States of America.

Since I am very preparedness minded, I am advertising here that I’m running a Survival September 2026 sale in my Etsy shop, in ‘This Month Only’ section, for United States of America, with some items 25% off (not cumulative with other offers), other listings only available for just this month for a regular price.

For a lovely bag with lichen design like in this mockup image, click the picture for a link to this specific listing, or the shop link here https://planktonpunktdesigns.etsy.com for the whole shop.

Edit: I have now added a Survival September 2026 Collection in my Printify pop-up store, and since there is no option to discount individual items, the whole store is running a 20% off (excluding taxes and shipping) for USA for the September 2026.

  • My First Car

Used to belong to my father. On another continent. Out of registry, since it would not have passed government inspection. And by the time I took my photos last year, definitely immobile, at least without a tow truck.

This is a short and silent art video I had been planning to make for a while, based on one photo.

  • Lichens

I have been planning and working on making short form videos. The Morning Chorus was a test video filmed at one go but this is a slideshow converted into a video.

    I hope you like lichens.

Update, July 9th, 2025: I have edited the video, trying to improve the sound quality and changing the text a bit.

I do not know where the crack in voice track and and flicker in video come from. Some programs do not show it, others do. If you have any idea, I’d appreciate the info…

Update, July 9th, 2025, continued: apparently these cracks were a bug in PowerPoint I used for converting a slideshow into a video – I ended up loading the individual slides and separately recorded voice tracks into Clipchamp and cutting, stretching and pasting them there into this updated video.

PlanktonPunkt Designs is now also on eBay.

Hence, the banner above has a new shop.

This on-line store is connected to Printify and contains a subset of my designs depending on eBay sales policies and limits (and my whimsies.)

Beautiful lichens (palleroporonjäkälä) from Finland, photomanipulation.
