2026, October 18th, I was keeping eyes open for photo or video. A squirrel in a tree attracted my attention. When I started pointing my mobile to video, it first sat on a branch and stared at me. Eventually it began to move and I got the third clip. I think the tail whisks are annoyed or agitated.
The attached video is made of three clips, post-stabilized and joined by fade via black transitions. The resolution is only 720 to save space.
Squirrels are quite common to see in Berkeley and bolder than the red squirrels in Finland.
On an unrelated note, it began to rain yesterday and it has been raining properly today. Maybe the rainy season has started, and we will get green new shoots again.
